PGOC 081: The World's First Gamemaster's Conference |
|
So far as we can tell, we held the world's first gamemaster's conference, at least of our kind, with the Southern Arizona Gamers Association (SAGA). If you are in improving your game, this is a must-listen episode. We touch on a number of tips given by the presenters. Our keynote speaker was John Wick of Play Dirty and RPG fame. He and everyone else gave some great advise we were all able to grow on. |

Maurice, this is the book I referred to. I'll be using it for my next GM's Conference presentation at RinCon '09.

And here's the link for RinCon:

We're going to try to record the presentations, not sure where they'll go up though!
As the President of the Southern Arizona Gamers Association, the organizers of the world's first Gamemasters Conference, I would like to thank all of the attendees and take credit for the event's success.
Thanks a bunch, Jason. Look forward to the talks.
Don't you guys know. The first ever adventure was B2 keep on the border lands.
Anything on the acting, improv, character playing nature of being a DM. I'm always on the lookout for cool things to do to represent NPC's. Like accents...
Thanks for the Cast!
Oh... and you must, absolutely must air the Critical Hits, Stupid Ranger etc... Out of the Box from gen-con. You must.
Please?
Hey dar, there's a great accent resource that Pulp Gamer MN puts out called "Accent Your Character", primarily concerned with the accents of the British Isles, but still pretty damn cool. I burned it to an audiobook and have been practicing in the car. Just click on "Products" at the top of the screen.

Hi Guys,
Great show once more. I wish I could have been at the conference.
Quick question. You mentioned a book called something like "story structures" or "story structuring" Could you perhaps gve some details about it?
Cheers
